Story of a pregnant woman conflicted by one thought.
363 words
Pregnant women have a very important decision to make. What values to pass on to the child in their womb. This is not something women do consciously in the modern era. But there was a time when they had to decide and think about it from conception to birth.
This is a story of one queen Tasmi. She lived a very tough life. At one point she was wrestling with this decision. That’s because she was confused which values to pass on.
Her life story went something like this… Tasmi was a princess of Rosi kingdom. She was a bright child and had the capacity to learn things very fast. One problem though was that she was very impressionable.
At a young age Tasmi got married to a noble prince Karam. Due to some reason, after their marriage, the couple was sent on exile. Spending many years in the forest with her husband made her familiar with his thoughts and ideologies.
Tasmi was a beautiful woman means she attracted a lot of unwanted attention. During her time in the forest, her beauty caught a neighboring king’s eye. Enchanted by her beauty he abducted her.
Staying captive in a foreign kingdom she spent many years until she was rescued by her husband. This was enough time for her to absorb their ideology. Unfortunately this was in complete contrast to her husband’s belief system.
When she returned to their home kingdom, her husband was crowned as the king and she became the queen. Sadly due to the long time she spent in the enemy kingdom, Tasmi was accused of adultery. Further she was exiled yet again to the western forests. When this happened, unbeknownst to everyone else, she was pregnant.
Tasmi was more than capable of taking care of herself in the forest. But she was now conflicted which values to pass on to her unborn child.
“Should it come from a man who abducted me or from a man who falsely accused me of adultery?”
She was being double minded. Luckily this double mind led to double body. That is she gave birth to twins. Each possessing one of the two sets of ideologies.
