Biology of people is clearly well defined to tell which is male and which is female. But as far as nature of a person is concerned gender is not something absolute. Rather it is a spectrum with the perfect male and perfect female on opposite ends. All the beings that are born lie somewhere in between based on their core nature and the personality they develop over their lifetime.

Only the gods have the ability to exist as 100% male or 100% female. Most of the people have a percentage share from both the attitudes.
That being said let’s talk about the two extreme ends of the spectrum.

None of these qualities are bad per say. Each one serves an important purpose to allow people to live a truly fulfilled and a complete life.
Here I need to point out the fact that just how one’s body state affects the mind, the mental state also affects the body. So the nature of soul is what decides the biological gender of a person during birth. Also the hormonal change that define the masculine or feminine traits are also result of this nature hence affecting an individual’s behavior.
