Information is what makes anything exist. This post you are reading, the computing device you are reading it on, the eyes-brain pair you are using to read, the planet you are on and the universe you exist in. Everything is made of information.
Granted we perceive them as real physical things but that does not mean they are real. It only means that the illusion is convincing enough. A clever magic trick. Just think of the pixels on a display. The images we see on a screen are just tiny Red-Green-Blue lights in the right setting to create the illusion of that exact image we want to see. The different colours of light are made up by our brain to differentiate light of different wavelengths. The after image that we retain after looking away from the screen is result of recollecting the information stored in our brain.
Everything we see, hear, touch, smell and taste is eventually stored as information. Then is it too much to say that all this began as information as well? The post I wrote came from my mind, the cooking chefs do comes from their mind, the plans you make for your future comes from your mind, the films/TV show ideas come from one’s mind.
The theory I want to propose here is that the entire universe came into existence out of someone’s mind. It all started as an idea or a story that slowly grew to become an actual physical universe. With the right knowledge and technology maybe in future we’ll be able to create a universe of our own. A place that we can control or enter it to live a life of our choosing. Perhaps that is our purpose and that is what we are destined to achieve.
The Rexal World that I am building on this website is also a fictional universe that I hope could be real some time in future.
Having said this could it be possible that we already invented this universe creating technology and are living inside it for a limited amount of time as a character of our choosing? Well, that’s a totally different question.
