In one of the older issues of Questions magazine someone presented a metaphysical theory that our life could be a video game. Continuing with the same analogy I want to present my own philosophy called ‘Levels of Life’.
In video games the playable character gets better with more play time as we get better with playing. It gains experience points and then levels up to take harder challenges. I believe the same can apply to our life.
When we are born, we are at the base level. After the initial guidance we are now free to make some life decisions. Based on the decisions we make our life takes that path. Choosing the right path allows us to level up. This means that we get to face bigger challenges. In that case our life becomes higher stakes higher rewards.
At lower levels we get to choose between right and wrong which is clearly apparent. But with increasing difficulty the line between right and wrong gets blurred. Life is no longer black and white. Working in this grey area life gets harder because now we have to correctly distinguish and choose between right and more right or wrong and less wrong. This is not easy.
The people who have achieved this higher level are the public figures that we know; celebrities, politicians, social influencers, business empire owners etc.
When I presented this thought to my philosophy enthusiast friends, they contradicted saying that life choices are an illusion. We don’t really have free will to choose how our life happens. The decisions that we seem to take ourselves are actually part of a single pre-decided narrative. I did not disagree with them.
The absence of free will applies in a universe. But there is sufficient belief that we live in a multiverse. Here the choices we make allow our consciousness to enter different realities where our future unfolds differently.
Obviously I don’t have any facts to back my claim. I’m not even sure if this applies to our universe. Still I am proposing this as a possibility that can surely apply to a multiverse.
This was an article sent to Questions Magazine by an unknown person from Vanchi city. His article was rejected as the editors believed this ‘Levels of Life’ theory to be a baseless claim. However being in control of the Rexal World and everything that happens in it, I can say that this ‘Levels of Life’ is a very practical system in place for the multiverse of Akari system.
