He was a top ranked bank employee who was over the top excited to have a daughter and couldn’t stay apart. He had to see her once everyday. Perhaps it is this desperation to meet her led to his demise in one car accident.

Ganga Palini (mother)
She wanted a son. To be honest Ganga lost her little bother just a couple of years back and when Barkha was to be born she kept on saying that her brother is going to be born again. So it broke her heart to see a baby girl. Nevertheless she gave the same amount of love to her daughter as long as she could. That is till she too died in that one car accident.

When Barkha lost her parents it was Bhargav who stepped forward to take her into his care. She had other blood relatives but none with the financial condition to take good care of her. Meanwhile Bhargav was an architect and had acquired sufficient wealth from his construction business to take care of her.
